Reviews & Ratings for Scarpa Kailash Lite Backpacking Boots - Men's

This is a very well built, solid hiking boot. Even though it is a "lite" model it is relatively heavy and has a robust vibram sole. I expect this to work great for backpacking and mountaineering. It's not waterproof, which I prefer for summer. I'd rather get my feet wet and have them dry out than make them swelter in waterproof boots all day.
My US shoe size is 14 and with some European brands a 48 or 49 works well for me. I have found that Scarpa tends to be a little short in length, so I picked these up in size 50/US15. They are just a little bit longer than I would like, but I'd rather have a bit of extra toe space than not enough. YMMV.
Scarpa build quality is always excellent. If the fit of the boot works for you then you can't go wrong.
Pros:
Great build quality
Thick solid sole
Cons:
A bit heavy for a "lite" boot
Best Used for:
Hiking / backpacking / mountaineering
Would recommend: Yes
