Best Pair of Hiking Boots I have ever owned.
Dropped into Campsaver one evening after work. Knew I was going to buy a pair of boots but wasn’t sure what. Ended up trying on a half a dozen brands and ended up buying these. I’ve owned several other boots with big name brands; Merrill, North Face, and Salewa. These are the first pair of Scarpa boots I have ever bought. The initial fit was felt good. Sizing was spot on. These Boots Are Amazing!
I received the Scarpa Zodiac Plus GTX and I am impressed to say the least. The GTX is amazing, the water splashes right off. They have great support. The sole is thick enough to last a long while. The only flaw would have to be the top 2 shoe lace loops. Without tension the laces will fall out so you really cant be lazy while lacing! Other than that they are relatively breathable. I recommend a thin sock on hot days. One thing to mention is they look even cooler than the pictures show.
Pros:
- durable
- waterproof
- stylish
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- Camping
- HIKING
- snow
Would recommend: Yes
Nice looking boot, but hard on my feet
I was excited to get these boots as I had read great things about them They were not the boots for me. I found them to be too stiff and hurt the balls of my ankles, despite a number of different lacing attempts. It's entirely possible this is just me and where I come from. My other boots have been La Sportiva and Zamberlan and maybe trend closer to trail runners than hardcore boots. I ended up returning them.
Pros:
- Well built
- nice looking
Cons:
- uncomfortable
- Stiff
Would recommend: No
