Most Helpful Positive Review Very thick pad
This pad is incredibly thick and comfortable. Well worth the money. I did a lot of research and this pad was neck and neck with the Nemo tensor. The tensor was not as thick or roomy, so I went with this pad and I am glad that I did.

Luxury in the backcountry

by Jr Birdman, Verified Owner from WA, United States Written on September 2, 2022
I took this pad out for the first time last week to some alpine lakes in the Wenatchee national forest. Talk about comfort! The thickness of the pad really makes for a comfortable nights sleep. Slept like a baby paired with my feathered friends flicker quilt.
Pros:
  • None
Cons:
  • A little noisy

Sea to Summit Ether light XT lnsulated large sleeping pad

by Dean D., Verified Owner from NV, United States Written on July 5, 2022
I'm 6'-2" and 210 pounds, so I got the large. Large measures 77" long, 25" wide, 3-1/2" thick as inflated. Supposed to be 4" thick. Rated at R=3.2 for about 25 degrees F limit. Comfortable. The blow-up bag (doubles as the carry sack) takes a second to figure out. The sleeping pad comes out of one end of the sack, and the other end of the sack has the nozzle that you plug into the inflation opening in the pad. The inflation opening is over the same opening as deflation, but you only open one "door" to inflate. Another "door" below the inflation opening, deflates the pad. It's easy once you figure it out, but it confused me at first. This not a cold weather pad, it's a light summer pad. I tried it at 40 degrees F and it was OK. Not sure I would go below freezing. At 1.6 pounds this is a good light backpacking pad. I've only used it a couple of times, but no leaks yet.
Pros:
  • Light
Cons:
  • Not quite 4" thick
Best Used for:
  • Backpacking

Nice sleeping pad!

by Leland, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on March 7, 2022
I used the Ether light sleeping pad over 2 nights for the first time in Death Valley. Initially it was a bit noisy every time I moved from rubbing against my tent floor, but it happened to be pretty gusty the first night causing fine dust to come into my tent. After that it was perfect, no more squeaking and very comfortable.
Pros:
  • very comfortable
  • Really nice inflation bag/stuff sack
  • Nice one way inflation valve.
Cons:
  • Initially a bit noisy from rubbing against the tent floor.

Great sleeping pad

I have used several sleeping pads over the years. This one is probably the most comfortable. I’m a side sleeper and this one is my favorite so far. My hip does not hit the ground and the pad seems warm. Can’t wait to use it more this spring.
