Reasonablle quality bivy for reasonable price
This bivy is of medium construction quality (ripstop nylon) but seems to be able to serve as a good fall/winter bivy. The packaging says "waterproof" but it does not seem to be completely waterproof, but rather more like water-resistant. I have not had a chance to fully test it in the rain, as I just received it in early December. I tried it outside last night in 32' and it kept me warm enough (along with a 10'F sleeping bag, plus liner, plus good sleeping pad). The key for warmth is a good sleeping pad. A big plus with this bivy is ample room inside to move around (I purchased the "long" size...

Great construction and weight.
Build is great. All seams are sealed well. Bivy is very light weight. Would have been a good backpacking option but I'm too claustrophobic so ended up sending it back. I felt like I wasn't really able to move once inside and fully zipped in. Not likely conducive to great sleep if you're afraid of tight spaces. BTW I don't cave dive either ;).

Nice Product
This is a solid Bivy. I look forward to camping under the stars in this one. It looks good and matches my other Sierra Designs equipment. I recommend this product. My last Bivy was Goretex so that would be the only issue I have with this one.
