Sierra Designs Light Year 1
The light year 1 is a great solo tent. I looked a while for a light, long and a tent with head room, this one had it all. I'm 6'9" and I fit fine, so if your tall this 113" tent is your best bet. It was a little tricky geting in but I found that if you go in butt first and then turn around it works the best. One thing that is a little con is that the foot print has buckles but the tent dosent

Looks like a great solo tent
First, I have not used this particular tent...however I was a independent field tester for Sierra Designs for many years and have been using their products since the mid 1980's.
I am really glad to see SD getting back to their roots I.e. Eons ago I camped many dozens of nights in a single wall version of this tent...I have a lot of faith in Sierra designs tents and I think this tent the "Lightyear One" would very adequately take care of a solo backpacker for many years and for the price it would be hard to beat...do note that the spec sheet has a few issues I.e. length and width is off... so go find an accurate spec sheet for this tent to make sure it suites your needs.

Great value
Roomy and comfortable enough, although difficult to set up for the first few times. Fly clips are very difficult to undo. However, it's extremely light & compact and great value for the price paid.

Great tent
I bought this tent for a solo bike trip because I needed something light that was still roomy enough to hang out it (ie, not a bivy sack). I am incredibly happy with it. It packs really small, so it fit easily in my panier, and it was quite light. Pretty quick and easy to set up. I don't love the way that the fly attachments work, but once you figure them out it's not that bad. All in all, a great

Very cool tent!
This is a very cool tent if you are a smaller guy like me (5'6"). Although this tent is perfect for my solo adventures, me and my girlfriend fit inside and have slept comfortably for a number of nights. The tent is also extremely light, but I plan on making it even lighter by getting carbon-fiber poles and lighter stakes. No true complaints here, other than it could be a bit sturdier. For solo ult

Great Product
Really liked the product. Shipped fast, was well priced, ways nothing, looked nice. My wife and I each have one and found that, though a little cramped, we could even share one over night (I am 5'10" 200lbs). I also like that this tent came in earth tone colors so it doesnt draw attention in the woods like a road flare.

Perfect
When your not exactly looking for a home away for home but a quick, light, solid shelter then you'll love SD Light Year. First trip with this tent happened last week in Mineral King Nat'l Park. Took on a Thunderstorm at 10,300 ft that produce some decent sized hail and a lot of rain - I & my gear had to take shelter and ride it out - I was stoked on my tent. That same night the storm had passed

Great Tent
I needed a tent that I could easily carry and set-up. Pack weight was a major concern as was comfort and durability. This tent fulfilled my expectations. It was very reasonably priced. Tents of similar quality and weight were much higher.
