I got this tent back in 2004, and I know they've made improvements on it since then. This is a great first tent for people who enjoy camping and hiking. It's not the lightest tent out there, but it's very packable and you can strip it down so that it's pretty lightweight (just pack the rainfly and the footprint!). The tent is great because the rainfly provides a huge 'vestibule' area for storing your gear/backpacks outside of the tent, but still somewhat protected. If the weather is great out, this tent rocks because you can stargaze through the mesh roof.
