I like it enough to be buying a couple more Sierra Designs jackets for my Dad and partner. It is very stylish compared to other jackets. It is not hot but warm enough for Sydney (Australia) winters. It also packs down enough to be easy to travel with. It was put in the regular wash by mistake by my partner but came up really well when I put it in the dryer with some tennis balls. The down didn't seem to even mind the regular washing powder (I wouldn't try that again thoug). I haven't worn it in normal rain, but have been caught in light rain and it held up really well. The sleeve cuffs got a little wet and took no time at all to dry. The down leaks, as in all down jackets, but there seems to be a little flaw near the hand pockets where the stitching isn't quite strong enough to stop a bit of extra leakage. It doesn't bother me too much though. If they still made this, I'd be getting another one in a different colour. I like the black but would like another one for a change.
