Good buy at year end sale
I backpack with buddies, but camp with my family. I needed a better family camping tent with more space and this one was on sale, year end, for a decent price. I've only set it up in the backyard and have yet to use it in the wilderness. Seems sturdy. Set up was not challenging but has different clips that I've not used before. Has many plastic clips and I am concerned about them holding up o

Just as I imagined
The Zia 4 tent is the perfect tent with a budget in mind but offers the features of a more expensive one. The Zia 4 is perfect for car, family, and general camping where weight is not of concern. While the tent could be broken up between 3 people, tent body, fly, and poles and stakes at 10 lbs. this hardly a tent for backpacking. The Zia 4 offers all the amenities one would expect from Sierra Desi

Keep self, tent and bedding dry in the rain: add poles to footprint, attach the fly, then hang the tent. As this tent is free standing there were no guy ropes to trip over - wonderful! The vertical door provides dry entrance and exits that I haven't seen in other tents.
