I have never thought to wear socks in my dress shoes, but it has made a HUGE difference! I feel like I put less wear and tear on my shoes by wearing these thin, no-show socks, and my overall comfort in the shoes has dramatically improved! I am a medical student who works in the hospital and in clinics. When I'm in clinic attire, I need to be comfortable, because I tend to do a lot of running around, crouching down, etc. These smartwool socks have helped to keep my shoes and my feet in tip top shape. As for sizing, I wear a size 10 shoe, which puts me on the cusp between a medium and a large. I'd much rather stretch a sock out than have excess fabric, so I went with a medium, which has been perfect!
