I was looking for a liner set to wear during my first month (early departure planned) on the "AT" and after trying out my "high tech" synthetics I made the switch to wool.

Smartwool Lw Men's crew

Since this Wisconsin winter has been so brutal, my wife and I have had to bundle more than usual to be comfortably warm. This crew is better than all my synthetic undergarments for warmth and fit. This is my first merino wool purchase and it is a keeper!
