I like this vest. It is long, which makes it easy to wear with leggings and have a little bit of coverage. It is warm. You know, I'm from California, so I think it's freezing when it drops into the 60s. It's been in the 60s for the last week, so I have been wearing it every day since I received it. I do have some complaints, which are minor. Because the vest is long, the pockets are long, which is weird. If I put my keys in my pockets, I have to dig them out of there. Seems like Smartwool could have shortened the pockets and paid attention to a detail like that. And as far as sizing goes, I think it's mostly true to size, but maybe just a smidge on the too-big side. It is form-fitting, and it has zippers on the hips to make it more or less form-fitting. But I think the torso/chest area could be a bit smaller. I purchased a small, I am 5' 7" and about 125 lbs.

During the ski season, I plan to wear it under my bib to keep me toasty on the extra cold and windy days in Mammoth. Unfortunately, I can't speak to its functionality while skiing, riding, or any other winter sport because this pandemic has cut the season short. First-world problems, I suppose.
