This is my 5th pair of sunglasses from Smith. I've bought the other comparable name brands. I prefer Smith, and I don't wear those other bands anymore. Optically, Smith is superior. The build quality is just as good as the other major name brands, which is why they have a lifetime warranty. I have broken some but it was during Mountain Biking and I end-o'ed. They protected my eyes, so money well spent. Safety glasses probably would have worked but they aren't optically good either. Anyway, this a review for this purchase. I bought the igniter lens version. According to Smith's web site this lens color is good for just about everything. I use these sunglasses specifically for driving and walking around after my destination. I live in AZ were it freak'n bright and they work well being polarchromic. I wouldn't mind if they got a little darker for walking around though. They work perfect for driving. The curvature is 8, so they wrap your face like a pair of riding glasses. I have a small head and these glasses are meant for medium and large heads. Trying to find Smith Optic's sizing chart is impossible. Even with my smallish head they fit well. They have spring hinges and flip open easy, and if you have a large head, they will wrap your head well, so I'm told. I had a large head friend which tried them on and they liked them. Optically ChromaPop brings out colors and being polarized help cut through the glare. The glasses come with a hard case and soft bag. ...
