Great pot and ridged grill plate (lid)
As another reviewer, W Wong, pointed out this little pot is marvelously versatile, easy to maintain and goes from fire to table looking great and will keep the food warm. It heats evenly and we use it both at home and when car camping. The size is sufficient for two for a main meal or 3-4 for a side dish.
This is a great addition to our cookware and it is easy to maintain.

Very thin cast iron pot
This is my final piece for Snow Peak Micro series of cast iron. Love the whole set.
Same as the Pot and Capsule, this Oval is very smooth and thin (0.1"). It is quite heavy indeed and should fit two beefsteak tomatoes.
Love the lid can be doubled as a grill plate. It is not big enough for New York strips, but good if you cut it into half first.
It comes with silicon coating so pre/seasoning is not required unless the coating comes off (too hot or scrap with abrasive brushes). Oiling is recommended after every use to shield it from moisture. You can use vegetables oil which is unlikely to rancid, for example, canola, olive, or coconut oil (which is good for its tastelessness). Although cast iron is known to be uneasy to maintain, the silicon coating makes it much easier to maintain than other cast irons.
I also recommend to buy Snow Peak Micro Lifter for handling the pot and its lid.
The cast iron pot looks pretty and can be directly used to serve food in a nice way. And you can also use it at home too.
