Compared to the Hozuki lantern and other Snowpeak products, this lantern is dollar store quality. It eats up batteries relatively fast, it is difficult to turn on and off, overall construction is poor. I am somewhat disappointed in this light but my wife wanted one so we got it. I would not recommend this light to anyone due to price. Knock it down to $5 and it might be worth it to buy several and make a string.
