Reviews & Ratings for Snow Peak Fireplace Coal Bed, Large
— 4 reviews — Page 1
First of all, it isn't essential you buy the coal bed but your fires will burn MUCH better if you do. That being said I bought a LARGE Pack & Carry with the intension of using it as both a grill and a fire pit so I chose the LARGE size Cast Iron Coal Bed which was a mistake. When the LARGE coal bed is in the Pack & Carry there is only about 2"- 3" of room for charcoal or even firewood. Because I o

Grate is heavy and well made. I believe the material is cast iron, smaller holes in grate allow for more coals to be retained without falling to bottom of takibii grill. This allows for better heat retention for grilling. Great quality you'd expect from Snow Peak.

Very heavy and durable. Not a cheap product and fits perfect in the snow peak grill. Great to help bring air around the coal bed and give a great even cook to your food. Recommend if you have the Snow Peak Takibi Grill in the Large size.

Pretty basic but works fine for times where you want to just fire up some charcoal for grilling. It elevates the coal bed to where it needs to be for grilling especially with charcoal. If you're building a coal bed with lots of wood you probably can get by without this. It slips into the fire pit carry bag along with everything else.
Pros:
Cast iron so it should last a long time.
Cons:
NONE
Best Used for:
Grilling with charcoal
