Nice luxury - Snow Peak Party Platter Set

I wouldn't say anyone needs this product but if you have the space in your kitchen, then it's nice to have. The colander nests inside the bowl, both are a little shallow. I haven't had it long, but found it's good for preparing potatoes, using the colander to rinse and then soak them in the colander while nestled in bowl with water, lifting them out with the colander is easy. Empty the water and place back in bowl to dry. Nice. Also used for drying herbs. The cutting board/bowl is very high quality hard wood and is heavy. It takes awhile to condition and oil. The height is nice for allowing chopped items to be scrapped into the adjacent bowls. Steel is also heavy and strong. Has a coating that makes it wick, although not so much for the colander? The colander's feet are pressed into the design and should hold up. I was worried that they would be rubber pegs. Only wishes is I wish they were about a half inch deeper and there was a lip on the bowl so the colander could nest nicely upside down as a lid. It can still be used as a lid/bug guard. All in all probably endless uses. Can't wait to grill a medium rare steak and use the wooded bowl to let it rest and capture all the juices. Bon appitite and ciao.
