This is an ingenious design.
This thing is built very sturdily. I don’t know what the weight limit is, but I keep one in my car and have used it to hold many heavy loads; groceries, firewood, glass to recycle, gear, etc.
The reason I bought this, an$ the reason I think it’s worth the seemingly high price, is that it’s a very cool origami-esque object. You can’t tell from the picture posted here, but the two halves of this thing can fold out, and lock in that position. And it remains stackable. So you could have these stacked on top of each other but not have to unstick them to access your stuff. Those clever Japanes...

Snow Peak Stacking Shelf Container
These are so versatile! I love how they can be opened and stacked for easy access to the items inside and then closed for secure transport of said items! I intend to order the smaller versions to have on hand as well. I would recommend these to anyone that does camping at campgrounds since the weight of the containers would be prohibitive for backpacking style camping. So far they seem very sturdy and durable and I am pleased with the purchase and the product.
