The length of the spoon gives you the ability to eat from the bottom of a freeze dried meal bag (because you are so hungry and want every morsel) without getting food on your hand.

Awesome long spoon

I've been looking for the right spoon that reaches down into the bottom of a freeze dried food pouch. There are plenty of long spoons out there, but their length makes them a problem in a backpack. There are plastic folding spoons, but the longer ones are flexy and don't instill confidence. The Snow Peak spoon is solid and light, the best solution I could find.

Worth the money

Trying to minimize my camp kitchen space and weight. Nice, substantial cooking utensil that can actually can handle serving chores adequately, then reduce to a much more manageable packing size. It locks well and is sturdy and light. I like it

Perfect Spoon For Meal Pouches

Nearly weightless and perfect for making the reach into your Mountain House. This goes on every overnight climb with me. I like that it uses the screw lock as it seems quite durable.
