Slippery Heel
This boot has a long opening on the leather upper, which does not hold your ankle snug, my heel pulls-out when I walk, I would guess it will pull off in the mud, my last pair had elastic in the front upper to hold your ankle in the boot,I won't be able to use these for duck hunting.The boot is the right size, it just doesn't hold your heel snug.

These are excellent looking and functioning boots. I just moved to Vermont, and apparently I pass as a true Vermonter with these boots (according to my friends). I heed the warnings of the product fitting too small and ordered a size larger than I normally would. They turned out to be slightly too big, but double or thick wool socks did the trick. When I originally ordered my regular size and then changed my mind after reading more reviews, I emailed the staff requesting a size change before shipping, without high expectations. Surprisingly, they were able to switch the sizes before shipping and I received my package early. I'm highly pleased with their service.
