I broke my ankle 2 yrs ago and must have torn something, 8 x rays, 2x in 30 day runs in a boot and 1 MRI later... EVERY shoe hurts at some point. Can't tolerate anything touching the top of my foot for more than a few hours. Can't stand flip flops by the end of the day. Just learned to live with the dull pain, the side step trips down the stairs and the swollen ankle at the end of every single day. Enter Sorel.

I picked this shoe because I thought it was good looking. I was skeptical about the lacing but I'm a sucker for anything cute. The sole is stiff, this is good because it keeps my foot from rocking as i step. The lacing can be loose but the padded tongue keeps the shoe on my foot and pads it against the lacing without being too tight. Obviously they are good looking. I usually wear a 9.5 but i bought a 10 and my foot stays in place well. Wish I'd put on some suede protector before I wore them. Oh well, who cares. Still cute and I can wear them all day with no irritation to my ankle and foot. Ordering a second pair as well as the Kinetic boot for winter--too much? Camp saver said this item would be delivered. The item was absolutely on schedule and perfect! So glad I waited awhile in order to get the item as described. Actually the item arrived a bit early from the date expected.
