I ordered these for a trip to Seattle. Rain/cold is expected. They are true to size. I normally wear a 7-7.5, these fit perfectly. I can wear thicker socks, but they might be a bit tight if your socks are extra thick. They have a bit of cushioning and have a quiet strike (when your feet hit the ground) both indoors and outdoors. They are a bit stiff at first but I've worn them a few times for short walks and they seem to soften up as you break them in. They look good dressed up or dressed down. If you tend to get blisters, you should probably order a 1/2 size up and wear thicker socks.
