I like it. - Soto AeroMug and Helix Combo

Nice mug; standard issue for the times; Snow Peak seems to have been first to the double wall titanium game; and Soto has now been in the field for a few years. Thickness of the double wall seems a mm or so greater than the comparable Snow Peak 450ml; and the exterior has a slightly less polished finish to it. The touch more tack to the exterior will probably make it easier to grip with a mitten or glove; being an outdoor junkie myself; this is not a bad thing.
Made in Japan fwiw; always appreciate that touch of craftsmanship too.
I'm a big fan of the Helix combo part too - the coffee filter part, that neatly wound and sprung wire part. Says to use a #2 filter; those can be hard to find; I get #4's, kinda shape them into a bowl with my hands and more or less drop them in. Works great; just avoid the temptation to fill above the rim; if you overfill; and it overflows; well... that's how fluids work, right? Avoid a possible mess. Let the filter do its thing, be patient; and don't overfill. Works every time.
Third Helix; I'll say it. I've got one in the VW camper, one in the home, and here I am; on the road; travelling, and yup. Morning fresh brew is being filtered courtesy of a Helix. Just call me fancy; I like to roll that way.
Stuff sack that came with it all is doing great too. Doing great back home with a thin wall pair of Marmot PreCip pants rolled up and stored in it; neatly hanging off of a hook. I call a nice stuff sack like that 'bonus'. Yes; I'm sure it works well for the mug and filter too. Me; hmmm. Stuff sack. Ah; I know what this will work well for. Stuffing stuff into. Stuff sack. Bonus!
Nice items again, good company, and lifetime guarantee. Quite giftable too boot. Recommended.
