Improvement over the earlier generations
This is my 3rd UV-C purifier. 1st was an early gen. SteriPen. Issues with the operation which Steripen has corrected (electrodes not reading immersion under certain water conditions). 2nd was a mUV. Nice compact & very light, but the internal rechargeable & non-user replaceable battery no longer holds a charge. diy gravity/squeeze filter + chlorine dioxide tabs are my primary backpacking wa

A Life Saver
Used it to purify the water at restaurants, any water that didn't come out of a sealed bottle.

Great little gadget, when it works
I have used a SteriPen Adventurer (same basic model as the Traveler) extensively in the field with excellent results. It is easy to use, lightweight, and truly sanitizes the water by disrupting the DNA of anything living in the water rendering it sterile.
