This is hands-downmy favorite tenkara rod - but it may not be best for beginners. The length is noticeably one of the longest tenkara rods on the market. Superb cast, excellent weight and handling is second to none. Very big flex which can deal with a veriable fish sizes/strength. Having said this, it’s taken me almost a year of avid tenkara fishing to appreciate this rod! It does take some skill to use it gracefully. At first; casting, line management, and tangles are the tenkara enthusiast’s biggest challenge- it’s a learning curve. The length of the Ito may add significant challenges to the beginner, especially in tighter waters. Sato is probably my favorite beginning rod, which has three usable lengths. After you really get the tenkara method , the Ito will feel like a dream
Pros:
Lightweight
Amazing rod
superb flex
Cons:
Not great for beginners
Best Used for:
Lakes
Open streams
Would recommend: Yes
