I've used lots of different camp stuff over the decades. Some good, some not so good. You do the best with what you have available to you at the time.
These sets get 4 stars only because I cant give them 4½ stars. The plastic cup would take a half star off. BUT I don't get them for the cup. Its a lightweight bonus that can have uses. I would prefer a metal cup though.
These are pretty thin steel as they should be and they work. I'd much rather use the steel than aluminum. If you are going to fry stuff, know how to cook. Use oil, or animal fat and low heat. You're cooking with steel, not teflon. The real big plusses with these are that you have the pot for boiling water and this isn't a ton of weight in your bug out pack. It's light weight worth carrying Heck, it's stainless steel and with nothing else you can clean it with sand and a nearby stream. I highy recommend this kit for a bug out bag or even just a week long hiking / hunting trip. It fits and packs together well. The only thing that would make it better is if the cup wasn't plastic.
Pros:
Light and compact, works fine
Cons:
plastic cup
Best Used for:
bug out or hiking/camping
Would recommend: Yes
