I ordered this from CampSaver, was really excited to get a hiking and skiing pant that would be slimmer fitting as I dont like loose clothes. Putting one of the suspenders the first time, the button that they attach to came off so I contacted the company about it, mostly because I wanted to make sure what I should do, if I fixed it..would that void the warranty? Well, I sent Mountain Co. and email and they responded immediately that they would exchange the pant because that defect is not something they want, I was pleasantly surprised by the service and exchanged my address with them and what-not over email, that's where the communication ended, I never got further replies to my emails (and I tried) or got anything on the mail from them. I tried calling the number they have on their website but it doesn't receive calls...I ended up returning the pants to campsaver, so my take is: if you don't need the warranty on them (supposedly a lifetime one) then go ahead and get them, if you think you'll need the warranty, then don't. A sign that says lifetime warranty is only good if the company backing it up actually does it.
As for the fit: They are slim fit on the seat area, front, but from the knees down they are what I consider loose-ish.., the pants are extremely well made and look good, I'll say that, the fabric feels awesome too. You can tell its a quality product, trust me, it was a hard decision for me to return them, but I react to bad service like that, however, CampSaver as always was awesome and totally understood and allowed me to return them.
I ended up getting two pants: Marmot Tour Pant for hiking/skiing when no snow is falling and Arcteryx Cassiar for heavy/wet days, both are slim fitting and serve my purposes.
