Most Helpful Positive Review Sturdy cot
Bought this for a 50 mile backpack trip for Scouts. Have not gone on that yet. Did use it for a week of Summer Camp on a wood tent platform. Setup takes a couple minutes the hardest part is feeding the side poles into the fabrics without having them pop out of the openings for the braces. I weigh 22...

Most Helpful Negative Review Therm-a-Rest- be ashamed, very ashamed
Just got back from a Boundary Waters Canoe trip. Bought 2 of these cots. First time setting up 2 plastic feet broke off the first cot, set up the 2nd cot and 2 more plastic feet broke off and when they broke it tore the very delicate cot material. They are very poorly engineered and Therm-a-Rest nee...

Great camping cot!

by Yarnfrog42, Verified Owner from MA, United States Written on April 3, 2021
Easy set up, though I did watch the instructional video from Thermarest first- would definitely recommend. Very light, but very comfortable & I couldn't feel any of the cross bars while laying on it. Can't wait to take it on it's first trip into the Maine woods!
Pros:
  • Light & comfortable
Cons:
  • NONE
Best Used for:
  • Camping

lite and comfortable

by gst58, from CO, United States Written on February 16, 2021
I have the original luxurylite mesh, but it can be cold for winter camping unless you use a reflective tarp on top. I've had this for quite awhile so I thought it was time for an upgrade, this one is 2 inches wider and 5 inches longer And a little lighter, can't wait and I'll use the other for backup. This is a great cot, remember you get what you pay for and this is well worth it!
Pros:
  • LIte and comfortable, lots of room
Cons:
  • I can't think of one
Best Used for:
  • any time you need to be off the floor or dirt

Love the hammock

by Trail junkie, from MN, United States Written on May 22, 2020
I just purchased this cot and couldn’t wait to use it for my next adventure. So the least, I couldn’t wait so I just used it my back yard underneath my tarp I had set up. I can’t say enough about the comfort this cot Provides. I’m loving it and can’t wait to take it out on a real adventure. One of my favorite gear essential that I would take with.

Thermarest LuxuryLite Cot

by Rhonda, from UT, United States Written on December 10, 2019
Great concept for comfortable sleep. Recommend setting it up in dry run first. A bit tricky so read the instructions on this one. Strong support when completed. It will, along with a complimentary backpack mattress, deliver a decent nights rest.
Pros:
  • Light and comfy
Cons:
  • setup requires a bit of time and patience

Lightweight, Easy Assembly, Strong!

by Nancy, from CO, United States Written on March 4, 2019
I purchased the Thermarest LuxuryLite Ultralite Cot for a motorcycle tour to Yellowstone this summer. I have not yet tried it for camping. However, I did assemble it and lay on it for a few minutes at home and believe it will help me sleep better. I was quite pleased at the compact size and light weight of the disassembled cot in its stuff sack - about 16"x6" and 3 pounds. The poles and cross members were easy to assemble, and the construction is innovative. I am a large female side sleeper (about 220 lbs.) and I was still slightly elevated above the ground even on my side. I bought the regular size (24" wide) and might regret not getting the wider one (26") but think this one should suffice.
Best Used for:
  • Backpacking
  • Motorcycle touring

Read directions carefully

Very happy with the size of stuff sack and weight compared to other cots.
Read the booklet AT HOME before you go camping.
Practice at home, setting it up, reading instructions CAREFULLY is my suggestion. It's easy to put "feet" on upside down resulting in busting feet (I know from experience). I'll be "painting" the wrong hole with red nail polish!

I added a small light foam pad. It's a little bit narrow for a side sleeper.

Overall, still very happy with cot! It will go on all my camping trips.
Pros:
  • Lightweight
Cons:
  • Tricky to set up
