Most Helpful Positive Review Don't buy just one, get two!
This bed is very comfortable and a great size for myself. I'm 6'3" and a slender 190lbs. Plus I'm a side sleeper. I let the bed inflate on its own and that enough for me. Some may like it firmer and that will also keep you from having a sore shoulder or hip if you're on the heavier side. I'm actuall...

Most Helpful Negative Review Nice but....
I did not use the mattress to sleep on so I cannot comment on that. However, just for the few minutes I tried it, it did seem comfy and much better thank the traditional air mattress one can by at local box stores. The reason I returned it was for me it was very cumbersome to stuff back in sac and I...

Enough give for the crankiest back

by Tlyn, from CO, United States Written on August 12, 2018
I had done lots of research on this MondoKing mainly because of the price involved with this mat compared to others. My husband and I plan on riding to SD on his Honda VTX and we couldn't find a way to lug an air mattress and pump. So, I began the search for something with plenty of give off the ground for my low back. I never thought I'd drop this money on a mat but so far 2 nights in a row in southern Colorado has been a success. I do toss some but not nearly like I thought I would. The mat does keep you warm. The cold Colorado ground was no match. The mat is tricky at first to roll back up big once you get the hang of it it's not difficult at all. And the next part it's bulky yes, but very very light. My Mondo doesn't weight anymore than my thin 1" browning mat. I gave it 4 stars as I do wish it was a touch more like the feel of an air mattress versus the actual foam feel. But that's not the mattresses fault that's just the feel that I prefer. For most folks this is gonna get the job done. I did great sleep both nights and plan to continue to use it! It's made very well and I see this lasting for years. It'll be worth the investment especially when it helps with heat retention.
Pros:
  • Very comfy and easy to use very warm
Cons:
  • Wish it was les firm and more air or plush like in feel
Best Used for:
  • Long nights and long getaways should be motorcycle friendly

Very comfortable

by Slimpickins, Verified Owner from TN, United States Written on September 22, 2017
This mattress is just as described! Very comfortable, but it is very large. I wouldn’t take it backpacking, but for sure will use for truck camping. The self inflation is great! The deflation process is good also, just a little more tedious. It’s also a little tough to get the mattress back in the bag.

MondoKing works as advertised

by Michael W., Written on June 25, 2017
Have a number of the camping Therm-a-rest air mattresses, but need something wider and
more comfortable to sleep for 10 days on a high school floor. This did trick! The 4" thickness and 30" was the perfect size without being too massive. Can't speak to the durability, but my back was not sore any morning due to the mattress.

Really Comfortable

by Gary K., Written on June 25, 2017
I am a side sleeper and find this mattress to be truly comfortable. I find is best when letting it inflate itself and not adding additional air for more give. If only it packed smaller and were lighter… I could take it backpacking. However, for car camping or when doing events that involve camping (and someone else is schlepping by gear) it is terrific!

pretty awesome

by Kerri T., from TX, United States Written on May 17, 2016
ok, so I have used it on 3 camp outs so far. the more I use it the happier I am that I got it. this seems to be a fairly new product out there so not many reviews on it. sleeping wise it is great. Kind of a pain to put back in storage bag, as all self inflating pads are. I have not used it on a back pack trip yet, little bit on the big side, but if comfort is a must for sleeping. I just might deal with the 4lbs that it is when packed up. I am a side sleeper, so I really appreciate the thickness of the pad, my shoulder and hip aren't eating the rocks. So far so good with this pad. Gave it a 4 because it's a little bit on the bulky side, other than that I am really liken it...
