The SOLite definitely helped me to stay warm, but I did end up having a cold butt and toes. I recommend having at least two layers between you and the sleep pad for cold weather (I tested it at just below freezing weather). That being said I slept a full 8 hours and was quite comfortable. Definitely a good purchase.
