This such a great lantern. Turned up all the way it is bright enough to pack up camp in the middle of the night. On low, in my tent, it was bright enough to do things but soft and warm light. I've used it in the house several times when our electricity was knocked out. I love the light it puts out. Nothing harsh about this lamp. Planning on getting rechargeable batteries, too, and I'll love it even more!
