Topo athletic hydroventure - light, fast and dry. - Topo Athletic Hydroventure Trail Running Shoe - Men's

I tried this shoe because I was looking for a lightweight shoe that would withstand the rains of the Pacific Northwest. I'm not a "trail runner" person; rather, I like to do extended walks in the Pacific Coast range and it is almost always wet. The shoe is very light and has kept my feet dry. Even more impressive is the comfort. I would give it 6 stars if the scale went that high. The shoe is not of the typical shape of hiking shoes - the toe box is very wide. I have narrow feet and like a shoe that is supportive without restricting my toes. These shoes solve that problem. I would say these are good for light hiking but not if you're carrying a heavy pack. The soles are thin and may not prevent rock bruising of your feet. All in all a terrific shoe. Highly recommend.
