Most Helpful Positive Review Perfect for boiling water for coffee...
I purchased the kettle for full retail and have NEVER regretted it. It is nice and small/lite. It fits well inside my backback and even fits inside medium cook pots. The handle stays cool and it doesn't drip when pouring. When I took it on my anual trip I started a trend.

Small but perfectly compact.

I purchased a Trangia 27 alcohols stove for storm prep in cases of power outages. Because coffee is so important to making a power outage more tolerable, I thought it was a good idea to buy the Trangia Kettle .6l - 27 Series. One, because it fits inside the Trangia stove set up when in packed mode and two, because it frees up the other bowls for food prep instead of using them for boiling water.

Fair warning, this kettle is small and suitable for making probably 1-3 servings (3 packets) of say, instant oatmeal, 1 pack of ramen soup, or a large cup of coffee for one. If you need to boil water for two people I suggest buying the Trangia 25 with a matching kettle or use one of the included bowls. That stove is a couple inches wider as are the components that come with it which increases volume.

The 27 seems to be the perfect stove for one person and the kettle certainly follows that format.

Campsaver was easy to order from, and the process was clean to shop here from start to finish.
Pros:
  • compact, light weight
Cons:
  • for one person only
Best Used for:
  • camping, power outages, preppers

.6L -27 kettle

by Bubba, Verified Owner from BC, Canada Written on September 4, 2019
This kettle is the smallest one I ever owned. No more boiling water in a pot for me. I even had it on a small fire to save my fuel. It is a must to complete the Trangia cooking set. Fits right in the pot when you put it all away.
Pros:
  • Light
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Back country hunting or long turn wildernesses staying
  • Back country hiking

Perfect size for 2 servings of hot beverage, EXTREMELY efficient in Trangia stoves 25 and 27

by FARMERIK, from CT, United States Written on July 23, 2019
Fits down into the wind shield of Trangia 25 & 27 so heat goes up along the sides, and aluminum is an excellent conductor of heat to the water inside. After heating water, you will have time to cook eggs or reheat foods with out refilling the alcohol burner. Perfect for very light weight hot lunch on a day hike.
Pros:
  • Quick and efficient
Cons:
  • none I can think of
Best Used for:
  • 25 & 27 Trangia stoves
Would recommend: Yes

classic kettle

by CampR, from TX, United States Written on March 14, 2018
0.6 L kettle has the wire-bail handle. Solid aluminum construction. The handle has several lock points - so it will stay up or down, without rattling. Smaller size is better for solo use. If I was going to make hot water for 2, I'd get the bigger kettle.
Pros:
  • Construction
  • Good design
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • heating water

Kind of a must have

by james o., from NY, United States Written on November 26, 2014
Kind of a must have if you have a trangia 27. Capacity is .47 liters if you fill it to the crease. Good quality If you don't have a 27, I'd go with a larger kettle like the gsi or others.

nice little kettle

by lostagain, Written on April 3, 2014
This is a handy little kettle if you're a backpacker/camper. I can easily fit it inside my 1.3L Ti pot, and I can fit a small gas stove burner, several small spice boxes, a Ti spork, small cleanup sponge andsoap sheets inside it.

It holds almost right at 600ml (probably 580 - 590), boils quickly. about 4 minutes to get a good boil going. It's great because I can quickly boil water for either coff

Excellent addition to my cookset

by Bike guy, Written on December 12, 2013
Like all Trangia products, this kettle is well made. Fits inside my Trangia 27 cookset. Great for car camping and larger groups. I use the alcohol burner and the butane burner with this set. Trangia never let's you down.
