Very simple and lightweight product.
My recent 2 week trip in the Aus snow, i found myself really wanting a chopping board, food prep, strainer, lid etc etc everything this product is advertised for.
Because i like my food, i like to do 'some' preparation in the backcountry, whether it be cutting salami/cheese, or just keeping food off the grubby hut tables, i forsee this as a very handy, light, m

Necessary and Excellent Addition To Trangia Cook System

by Splatterdab, from PA, United States Written on January 3, 2022
If you are cooking out doors frequently with the Trangia 25 or 27 this will make your cooking experience much better. I use several recipes that call for liquids to be drained from the cook pot. I previously used an improvised lid to drain liquid and that caused me to spill the primary contents on more than one occasion. The Multidisc has solved that problem. It also works fairly well to keep critters and debris out of the pot and keeps food a bit warmer. And, it's OK as a small cutting board.
Pros:
  • Sturdy
  • fits accurately
  • Really helps to complete the Trangia cook system
Cons:
  • None

Design flaw: doesn't quite fit

by Charles M., Written on June 14, 2017
The good people at Trangia think of everything, but they didn't get this quite right. First, it's heavy, a bit too thick. Second a more importantly, when you pack everything away, it goes under the frying pan, and should fit over the lip of the wind screen perfectly. But it doesn't. It doesn't quite fit. It doesn't mate with the wind screen perfectly. It sits on it a little kitty-wompus.

Great add-on for the Trangia

by BRob82, from WA, United States Written on September 10, 2013
Nests inside of the frypan, where it protects the finish...great for the nonstick sets. Cutting board and strainer work well enough. For use in snow, this is a must-have accessory, it will keep your stove from melting its way down into the snow.

Useful accessory to great product

by Whim, from Australia Written on September 10, 2013
Nice little accessory to go with the Trangia kits. Would prefer that they include it in the base kit, but happy to buy it regardless.
