Farther's Review of Trangia Westwind Stove-no Burner

I carried the Trangia Westwind stove for 2000 miles on the AT with never a failure of any type. Fuel is easy to get in most hardware stores as denatured alcohol or carry Everclear and fuel the cook as well as the stove.
Pros:
  • Light
  • reliable
  • low tech
Cons:
  • I would like to see it brought back in a titanium version.
Best Used for:
  • long distance backpacking in above freezing temperatures.
