Short but sturdy!
This was perfect for The Red. It was a little short for a few routes, but most of the routes with super high first clips are like that because they’re pretty easy. This was great to have for some of the boulderly starts.
Would recommend: Yes
More compact than a painter's pole
I got this to replace a heavier and longer painter's pole. It's great, but be very careful not to over-extend it. It'swaaaaaaay to easy to do, and when you do, the plastic constriction ring inside breaks, rendering this useless. This happened to me, and I'm reaching out to trango for a warranty exchange.
