I have yet to take it to the crag or carry it for a long distance but so far I like it. It holds my 60 m rope in a BD full burrito rope bag, 12 draws, multiple carabiners, belay devices, etc., helmet, chalk bag, shoes, guide book, harness, and there is still quite a lot of room to spare if you climb trad or if you want to pack food and clothing. The included bags are cool and I like the tarp that comes out when you are racking up to help keep gear clean. To me the bag seems tough but i take really good care of my gear so I am not worried about it. I chose this bag over the BD I was looking at for the extra 5 liters of volume and because this one has 2 aluminum rods that sort of act as an internal frame whereas the BD does not. To me it makes a difference and where I would not recommend carrying this pack more than a couple miles I absolutely could if needed and I dont think I would be hurting. There are multiple adjustment points to really dial in how it carries. For the price I think it is a banger of a bag but if you plan on some serious mountaineering or long approaches, spend more money but if you are doing that sort of climbing, you should already know that. My crags are short distances from the parking area and are sport routes which is why I bought this. Hope that helps
