I use the Kobra 2 GTX shoes for daily wear during the week. But on the weekends they are great for light hiking, trail running, and mountain biking. The dial-up tension system is great for a custom fit with any sock. The Goretex fabric works well for those early hikes with heavy dew. These work great for snow/ice/refreeze on sidewalks, shoulders, and rail trails during northern nh winter. Click wheel for cable closure works smoother than pull tab like salomon's - no tight spots.
