Best snow shoes hands down

by Christopher C., from ME, United States Written on February 26, 2015
these are the best snowshoes hands-down! I used to run a pair of MSR Dinali evo ascends with tails. They did good gripping to ice but did not have a ton of flotation. And I hated the bindings. I was always the last one to get my shoes on and get ready to go. When you're standing outside freezing you want to get the shoes on and get moving to stay warmed up. I have no issue with the bindings on the shoes I can slip right into them when I went to hiking boots or my big hunting pack boots. I am 6'5" 280lbs and use the 36" Tubbs. I sink a little in the snow but that's to be expected with my size. I sent far less than I did with the MSR's. Well worth the switch. And they should up 2 days early.

Great snowshoes

by Attila, Written on September 10, 2013
I took back two pairs of snowshoes before I chanced upon the Tubbs xpedition 30 from Campsaver. They're great. Easy to fasten and release bindings, comfortable foot rotation walking while the snowshoe stays level, and the front curvature of the snowshoe lifts it in soft snow like a ski, allowing you to walk with only half the effort of lesser models. I won't be returning this pair.
