Possible to kick yourself out while skiing - Twenty Two Designs Outlaw X Telemark Binding

pherick's Review of Twenty Two Designs Outlaw X Telemark Binding
They ski well, are light, tour easy. BUT, on shorter, twin tip skis, or if you get really stretched out for some reason, it's possible for the tail of the lead ski to release the binding on the uphill ski as the lead change begins. It's a perfect mistake thing- I've only done this a couple of times- but it's infuriating and makes me think twice in high consequence terrain (which I'd rather not do). I haven't seen much talk of this issue, but it's worth reporting. YMMV.
Oh and the "flex plate" is super fragile, but they ride fine with the tab broken off.
Pros:
Light,
zero resistance touring
Cons:
None
Would Recommend:
No
