These boots were very comfortable and warm. The insole provided plenty of cushion and support. However, the comfort in the ankle also is a weakness in the overall function of the boot. The ankle area is too soft and thin. It makes a thumping noise when walking and it gives no support in rough terrain. Climbing in a treestand is awkward/painful because of the thin material. It is like climbing in sock feet. ha. Also, the material is so thin at the ankle that when I take them off, the tops flop over like a dog's ear. Ugh.
I really like the boot other than the ankle dysfunction. With that being said, I do not recommend buying this boot unless you only hunt occasionally. And, if you don't mind your boots looking like a dog when you set them beside the door. Ha.
