I am like most practical men in regards to spending my hard earned money. I look for quality craftsmanship and integrity in my purchases. I am not one to rave online over much of anything but felt everyone interested should know how incredibly satisfied I am with these shoes. I recently discovered the 1st generation model and have 2 pairs in herringbone and 1 in a similar glazed marshmallow color. As durable and stylish as they are initially I have no complaints. But I noticed they quickly began letting in moisture through the gum sole. The leather would eventually discolor in a way that make the appearance dirty and unappealing whilst losing thier comfort. Hence why I purchased a second herringbone pair in hopes of prolonging thier life. As these too began to wear down rapidly with normal to moderate use, I decided to give these a shot just for fun. Ive worn them about 5 hours now. I was immediately excited when I saw the true color in person. I can dig it. The laces are thin and smooth and settle nicley on the tongue I noticed first. Then the construction of the shoes impressed me when i finally slipped them on. They are night and day different in comfort levels. The entire foot is supported from all angles and is clearly built with comfort a mandate. Ive gone outside with my puppy twice, climbed a large tree(frisbee retrieval), ran around on black top, grass and dirt as well as got them modestly wet during puppys bath and unlike the others I was extremely stoked to not fee...

Always wanted some good shoes to keep water out during those rainy days, but nothing really fulfilled that while retaining some style for me personally. Finally bit the bullet and purchased these MTE 2.0s, reading that the first generation does block water but not as efficiently as this design. Tested in heavy SoCal rain this morning and worked flawlessly. Highly recommended!
