Shoe is comfortable, doesn't stay tied though but that is easily fixed. Plenty of room in toe box. I have another pair of vasque shoes and they fit very differently from these. 4 stars for inconsistent fit with company.

I haven't yet tested these hiking shoes other than around the house (not quite the same), but while the sole of the shoe seems exactly the same as the full boot (of which I've bought many)the lace-up part is different, i.e., more cheaply made. There seems to be fewer loops for the laces. It remains unknown if this will effect the fit after a few miles (I often do 10 - 15 miles per hike in regular Vasque Breeze boots.)The over-all fit seems to be correct.
