very nice shoe
I walk on hardscapes all week long while on my job,I had the vasque velocity before but thought I would give the Mantra a try. Very impressed! The shoe is extremely comfortable and while I have only had them for a few weeks they show no signs or wear. After two days of wearing the shoes at work I ordered a second pair. (I did waterproof mine with silicone spray and they handled the rain fine)

Te Vasque Mantra 2.0 Hiking Shoe - Mens are solid! Fit is as described and love the Vibram soles and the all weather construciton. Should be great for hiking in Colorado or anywhere else! I would recommend

Vasque hiking shoes
I love these shoes . I work in them every day. The best fitting shoes I've ever bought. Even better for hiking . Right out of the box and there is no break in necessary . Made a 10 mile hike , 1 5 mile hike and 3 , 3 mile hikes In Glacier National park in September 2017 . This is my 4th pair and I hope they continue to manufacture these shoes forever.

Best support and comfort of any hicking shoe I've worn and I've worn a lot. Put my two pairs of Merrells, which were only half worn out in the Goodwill bag.

Vasque Mantra 2.0: Great fit, Great low cut hiking boot
I have a wide foot that requires a wide toe box and the Vasque wide fits my foot perfectly. The boot is comfortable and the sole grips well. The 8 is a little long as I am a 7.5 to an 8 but the extra little bit of length keeps my toes from hitting the front of the boot on downhills. I would highly recommend this boot.

Tremendous quality
I had a pair of Vasque Mantra hiking shoes (previous version) that I purchased in 2009. I wore them all the time. Finally, after over 5 years, the tread got a little worn. I'm not saying this is a bad thing, mind you. Despite the heavy use, the shoes were almost in perfect shape. No rips or tears or lose threads. Truly amazing.
I purchased the Mantra 2.0s (Beluga) as a replacement in late 2014 and I'm happy to say that despite heavy use once again, they are still in perfect shape with only a little wear on the soles. I'm extremely impressed with the quality of this shoe, not to mention the fit and comfort. Highly recommended.

Rugged, comfortable shoes
Ideal for day hikes or just walking around town. These shoes are just plain comfortable! I wore out my first pair (>800 miles of walking) and was glad to see they were still available.
