Saint Elias
Light boot, comfortable - I bought the wide version and it's the first boot I've owned that actually gives me as much room across the toes as I need. That won't be relevant to most, but could be useful to those with wide feet and are struggling for options.

Great Boots, Pediatrist Approved
This is my third pair of these boots. I ware them every day. They give my ankles plenty of support and are very comfortable. My pediatrist gave them his approval, plenty of room in the toe box, good insole and good support. I get about two and a half years out of a pair.
Pros:
- Look good
- good ankle support
- Very comfortable ,easy on /off
- Easy to break in
Cons:
- Don.t have any

Vasque St Elias GTX Hiking Boots
This is my 3rd pair of these boots. The first lasted 30 years. Many miles of backpacking in the Rockies, Glacier, Canadian Rockies, & Denali. The 2nd pair did not fit because Vasque is now having them built overseas and the fit is different. Once I figured out the new sizing I bought this pair which fit great. I had to increase a 1/2 size in Length AND Width to get a proper fit.

St Elias Vasque
Best workboot. Composite toe very durable The soles wear out faster than the boot. Fit true to size. The only boot I wear for work. On my feet all day. Eyelets are very strong. Improved the design.
Pros:
- Toe
- The composite toe
Cons:
- Soles wear out too quick
Best Used for:
- Work and hiking

So happy with these!
Finding amazing shoes is not that easy for me. These have it all. Really well built, nice laces, perfect height for excellent ankle support but not too tall, gore-tex, squared off rear sole for less ankle rolling potential and great looking. Top shelf materials! I bought a size 9 and they fit great. So stoked on these Vasques!

A quality wide boot
I wanted a quality backcountry hiking boot. No other quality boots had a wide version in larger sizes. This boot does, and Campsaver was the only store who had the size. They fit great. Very sturdy, but felt comfortable as soon as I put them on. They will need significant mileage to break them in correctly. I’ve been wearing them around town for 2 weeks and they are just now showing signs of being broken in
Pros:
- Fit and comfort
Cons:
- None

A Great Boot
This boot is comfortable right out of the box. For me it fit true to size - my 13 Regular tennis shoes and the 13 Regular Vasque both are comfortable. I did get a hot spot on my left inside ankle but it was quickly taken care of by adjusting the lacing. So far this seems like an excellent purchase!

too narrow
Very good quality boot. I'd rate it a 5 star if it was wider. I bought a 9 & 1/2 W, the same size as my last Vasque boot but this one has a narrower cut and doesn't fit. It's definitely a narrower cut when placed side to side with my old Vasque boot.
Pros:
- Great Quailty
Cons:
- narrow for a wide

Boots are great
The boots are great. I’ve only worn them locally so far but the fit is true to size. They seem to help with walking mechanics and pronation Right out of the box they were stiff. I like that in a boot because if they’re comfortable immediately they break down fast

Out of the box..comfort. But fwd lace rivet came apart at 18mo of casual occasional walking?
First use this spring18, forward lace rivet came apart. Vasque.com said to sent to a cobbler in seatle, only 1 year on hardware.
Lightweight but good support in a Wide size. Others mention Nikwax, I like that too but maybe soften the hole area too much?

Not fully Leather!! Vinyl in upper and tong
I have to say that I have had these coots for over a year now and never had a problem. Relatively low win weight, breath well for a leather boot and are very comfortable. Many trips throughout NZ, US, and Australia to back this. However, i thought it may be time to treat these great boots with some NikWax conditioner. Bad Move. The parts that are Vinyl melted away before my eyes, completely dissolved. I am not blaming either company for this other than i would have like some warning that the vinyl was so low quality that it could not stand up to a normal Nikwax treatment.
In the end, good boot BUT do not treat them with any type of leather conditioner or they will fall apart.
