excellent but fits a bit small

I ordered this "SG" (soft ground) model of the Vivobarefoot Primus trail runners to replace my well-worn "FG" (firm ground) model of the same shoe because the SG has a more substantial sole. I loved the shoes when they arrived but I immediately realized that I needed to size up in the SG model because they are slightly narrower than the FG. It might be because the FG has a proper tongue while the SG's mesh material slips onto your foot like a sock. Overall these shoes are excellent but as a general note I have noticed that each model of Vivobarefoots has a unique fit which is why the multiple pairs of shoes that I own from this brand span three different sizes.

Awesome!! I would 100% recommend these

This is the second pair of Vivo Barefoot shoes that I own. The first pair are wonderful and I use them for working, but we have several hiking trips planned and needed something with grip. I took these to Sedona this weekend and LOVED THEM!! My feet felt good the whole time I wore them. Usually I get major foot cramps whenever I hike, but I didn't have that problem at all. I even went through water with them and they worked perfect in the water as well.

spiffy barefoot running shoes

These running shoes are named "barefoot" for a reason -- when you put them on, it does feel like you are barefoot, except for getting your toes banged up on rocks and roots. The shoes are lightweight, but durable and fit well.

great shoes

These Vivo Barefoot shoes are exactly what I thought would be, can wait to wear them hiking. I wear a 7.5 and I feel they fit true to size. My one and only complaint is that they're a little tight around the ankle, but I'm thinking they'll stretch as I wear them. Great quality! They shipped and arrived within a couple days too.

  • so comfortable overall, definitely feel like you're barefoot.
Cons:
  • A little tight around the ankle
Best Used for:
  • Trail walking & hiking, but comfortable enough to wear daily
