Voormi Base layer
I used the layer ice climbing in Ouray this weekend. It did a great job keeping me warm and staying dry. Material is soft for wool. The shirt is much thicker than my other Base layers but not so much that it was bulky. I a have a little longer torso so my only complaint is it could be longer in length.

Nice but pricey, may be better values out there
Bought this for my wife as a Mother's Day gift, and because I really like my midweight merino shirt (from a different manufacturer). We hiked over 7 miles in 40-degree temps this past weekend, and she wore only this top except in the breeziest places where she also donned her Thermoball puffy. Plenty warm, although she initially reported a little itchiness across her chest (I often have the same issue with mine but get used to it after a short time) - I don't think it bothered her all day. Only complaint is heavy pilling where her hipbelt (on a light daypack, even) rode across the fabric - expect more durability from a technical product that is so expensive. Probably could have spent less money for same level of performance. Love merino apparel, though, and this top seems solidly made and fit her gorgeously...
