This little machine makes an awesome and authentic shot of espresso, on par with a restaurant machine provided you don't dilute it. A few tricks for great results: first, use espresso ground coffee; next, fill and tamp grounds to your preference (it can handle a heaping scoop tamped gently); third, pump it SLOWLY, about 6 times to get water into the grounds, then about 11-13 super slow pumps for the most flavorful cup. Stop there and you'll have an espresso like one served in Italy. Keep pumping--there are 5-6 more squirts in it--and you'll have a sorry, diluted version that sadly passes for an espresso in the US. It's easy to use and control. Your friends--including Italians like myself--will be impressed by the flavorful shot this machine can deliver. Enjoy. This machine delivers.

I bought the Minipresso GR to take with me on hunting trips. If you're out in the field all day, slogging through bad weather, nothing brings your spirits up like stopping to make a hot cup of coffee or soup. Now I can have an extra treat by making an espresso! The device works well, is easy to use, and the espresso tastes fine. And it is things like that that make you forget about your tired feet and sore back for a few minutes.
