Westcomb makes great stuff, and they are doing it in Canada.
74", 173 lbs. size large has good room for layers.
And since I chose Sulphur, my friends can now find me as I wait for them to ski down.

Fabulous - fits great according to sizing chart; great jacket - and shipped fine to the UK

Ordered a medium. Fits perfect. Wear a Dynafit Vulcan down jacket as my perfect mid layer and a wool Mid weight Icebreaker or Smartwool under that. Use for Downhill skiing and backcountry. The clean style looks great on the hill or in the city. Expensive but very well made. Have owned Neo Shell in another brand as well. Quiet and not krinkly. I am 5'11" 166 lbs with a 39-40" chest and wear a 16x35 dress shirt so a bit longer arms. Jacket is not too short and none of my mid layer is exposed.
Like this Canadian brand.

I have struggled to find a hard shell that doesn’t make me feel like I am wearing the trash bag. I had Arc’teryx, North face and Mammut Gore Tex pro shells that were just not for me. I sweat a lot when I am hiking/climbing and I thought I would have to just get used being damped and trapped inside the shell. So, I found the Apo Jacket discounted on Campsavers and I was just like…”let’s just give it a try” in other words I had very little expectations, but I was curious about NeoShell. The first thing I noticed is that this hardshell is not that “hard”, don’t get me wrong, this is not a softshell by any means, but it doesn’t have the typical stiffness associated with hardshells and it is absolutely awesome because it doesn’t sound like you are wearing a paper bag when you move. The second thing I noticed was that this is the only jacket that I have ever been able to use for long periods of time and it kept me dry. It is full of features and it is heavy duty (too soon to assess durability) this is probably why it is a little heavy (lots of pockets and zippers). All in all, the best shell I have ever had and I would totally buy it again. LOVE IT!

Super light, ultra breathable abd waterproof. For cold days you will need a mid layer ( I wear a Paddy ultralight ) but a nice tight / slim yet maneuverable jacket that weighs nothing.

I bought this jacket for hiking. It is well designed for my use, light, and really waterproof. It also looks good. This is not the first waterproof I have bought but is one of the best.

Amazing jacket. Fits appropriately. I am 6'0", 187 lbs and the cut allows for a puffy underneath without too little or too much room. PolarTec Neoshell is way more supple than either Event or GoreTex shells I own. So on initial blush I am very pleased with the Apoc.

Pros:
* Much lighter and breathable than GoreTex
* Beads water than any other shell that I have tested (and I have tested some top of line ones...Arcteryx Beta AR, Alpha SV, North Face Point Five NG and Mountain Hardwear Kepler). Either it is Westcomb or the NeoShell fabric but even after several minutes in heavy rain the fabric doesn't get as soaked in as even new Gore Tex jackets (which kind of adds to the breathability of this jacket)
* Overall build quality is awesome

Cons:
* The wrist closure is thin and small. If wearing without any inner layer, there isn't enough material to tightly wrap it.
(No one does wrist closures better than Arcteryx!)

Is a very good jacket for mountaineering
