Reviews & Ratings for Westcomb Shift LT Hoody - Mens
— 6 reviews — Page 1
I still love Arcteryx but Westcomb has relegated them to 2nd choice, for me.
My priority is breathability but the Shift LT's waterproofness is impressive.
Now . . . the Harvest color . . . if you want to be spotted as a visiting alien, or seen from Mars, or simply burn out someone's retinas - here's your color. Hunters might shoot AT you hoping you'll go away or perhaps feeling provoked by something extra-terrestrial.

This is the first raincoat I've been able to use while cycling without overheating. I wanted it to be part of an all-season setup where I can add midlayer insulation for winter, because it's so expensive. So I went for 1 size larger (M would have been a slim fit), and it just doesn't fit well. there's always fabric popping up on my abdomen, and the lack of side pockets is more annoying than I expected.
It's really nice, but it's making me wish I'd gone 1 size smaller and just had a different solution for winter.

Can't beat it in the weight range. Definitely breathable for a hardshell jacket, but certainly windproof enough. I've never spent $350 for a jacket before, and here's hoping I won't for quite a while--definitely sticking with the Shift LT.

Award winner. The top design, perfect work. Lightweight yet maximum protection. Permeability is prominent. Great. Hope to continue to make good clothes.

I intend to use this jacket for backpacking and rock climbing. So far the vapor transmission is amazing. I was tired of my old shell that felt like a plastic bag when pushing hard in the rain.
I only wish Westcomb made a storage pocket with a sturdy clip in loop for my harness. Otherwise this is a great jacket that is very well made.
I like the long length in back to cover my waist and rear e
