Western Mountaineering Bristlecone MF -10 Sleeping Bag
I've owned several sleeping bags over the years and this one is the best one I've ever had. I wanted one that was roomy and warm. It's a pricy bag but I feel it's worth it. Made in USA with the best quality materials and craftsmanship. I not only use this bag for camping but use it as a comforter. I can turn the heat down and stay warm and cozy in this one. My suggestion is too buy the warmest bag you can afford. Nothing worse then being cold at night.

I ordered this after an attempted camping trip over Thanksgiving. It was in Dollly Sods WV and it was very cold and windy the first night. I woke up shivering and could not get warm. We cut the trip short. When I got home, I started my search for a truly warm winter bag. I have always been on the edge of comfort on the winter trips, and decided it was time to pay the money and get a warm winter bag.
I have not had a chance to try this out yet. Upon unpacking it, it instantly became very puffed up. It is amazing how big it becomes and yet is so light. I am impressed with the heavier strip inside the zipper which prevents the zipper from snagging on the softer inner & outer fabric. This is an excellent design. It was also one of the features that swayed me from a similar bag that had negative reviews about the zipper getting caught. I love the amount of room in the bag. I have always disliked mummy style bags due to the restricted nature of their size. I am looking forward to getting out soon to test my comfort in this bag. Bottom line is that if I get cold in this bag, there is something wrong with me and I have to give up winter camping.

It’s girth (size L): 175 (shoulder)-155(hips)-122(feet) - same as the WM-Cypress-minus30F; which makes both roomiest of the class. I’d highly recommend it for larger folks and/or for those who spends much time in a sleeping bag. Sufficiently, it is on the heavier side - not for situations where weight is the biggest issue. The fabric is MicroFiber which makes it not as durable as Partex or even Gore Windstopper.
